Chris Kendrick - Transition Supervisor / Instructor
Chris Kendrick originally founded Employment Matters of South Georgia in 1999. Having a heart to help others and already being involved in church ministry as well, Chris found himself working with individuals with disabilities in Valdosta in the late 90's. Chris was able to make a meaningful connection with those he mentored and was able to help many of them find successful jobs and learn impactful life skills. The experience helped spearhead the beginning of this company that Chris would lead for a little over 20 years. In that time frame, Chris made a name for himself and Employment Matters in Transition services having his curriculum adopted by state agencies to utilize across the state for students. He successfully created network partners to help individuals he worked with find employment opportunities. And while doing all of this, he also served in various ministry capacities serving in churches and in small group / mentoring sessions for families and individuals in the area. He would later start his ministry, "My Father's Business," which helps serve those in need and provide advisement and counseling for couples and families. Chris holds an Associate's degree in Behavioral Science from Georgia Military College, and a Bachelor's degree in Theology from Andersonville Theological Seminary. In 2017, Chris obtained his Master's degree in Pastoral Counseling from Andersonville Theological Seminary.
Chris is married to his wife Stacy, and they have two daughters: Zoe and Ivy. Chris has a passion for life and helping others, but when he's not doing that, you can find him in a deer stand or traveling for a throwback concert event such as Dave Matthews Band or Creed. You can contact Chris at Chris.Kendrick@emsgi.org.
